Turner makes a come back to VA, and Asheville Based Brian Festa performs drums and percussion under the influence of rock, blues, jazz, Appalachian flavor and a genuine love for the earth. Ash's work has evolved into a mixture of music, clowning, theater and community arts projects. more

Al-Hawanim is a dynamic trio of women playing the music of the Middle East and North Africa. The group includes Anne Rasmussen playing `ud, an 11-stringed Arab lute, Anne Elise Thomas on qanun, a 78-stringed Arab zither, and Nicole LeCorgne on percussion. Their high-energy performance includes songs, instrumental and dance pieces, and plenty of opportunity for audience participation.
