"He writes these great Southern rock 'n' roll songs that just make you want to drink buckets of beer and tell stories until 3 in the morning." - USA Today Online
Scott Miller delivers themes based on Appalachia with a grass roots authenticity. His acoustic solo performance articulates compelling stories of home, family, history and the "everyday". Miller ensures his audience rides "shotgun" with him on a journey atop themes that range anywhere from gas guzzling vehicles to drinking beer, by asking them, "Are you with me?"; the asking of which that has become somewhat of a trademark for the artist.

Miller's down-to-earth, lighthearted stage presence has earned him a cult-like following. His uncanny ability to fundamentally relate to audiences and capture them on a grounded level is illustrated by a quote from USA Today Online that stated, "He writes these great Southern rock 'n' roll songs that just make you want to drink buckets of beer and tell stories until 3 in the morning." Miller adeptly utilizes his educational background in American History to communicate his blue-collar anecdotes.

His work has also earned him positive recognition by notable entities such as the likes of famed author and Entertainment Weekly columnist, Stephen King, who named one of Scott’s recordings, Drunk All around This Town, "one of the top 10 in music." Not always common to some in his trade, it is obvious that Scott Miller is dedicated to providing authenticity to his audiences. As a prime example, in order to bolster legitimacy for his writings on his "Citation" album, Scott Miller dedicated himself to renting an apartment and living in Knoxville to write songs for the album. After which, Miller moved on to Memphis to work with legendary musician, producer and character Jim Dickinson. Because of these, and because of his passion for his music, Scott Miller can easily be deemed a breath of lively realism in an industry suffocated with exaggerated glamour. This artist hand-delivers a show that will have you engaged in the sing-along narratives that are sure to get your hands clapping, feet tapping and perhaps even your voice raspy.
