2:40 PM - American Roots2:40 PM - American RootsThe group's name is American Roots and that pretty much describes their music.  American Roots is a father and son guitar and harmony vocal duo that sometimes throws in other instrumentalist for added flavor on occasion.  The group combines Appalachian traditional music, early country, blues, jazz, sing and "folkgrass".
4:00 PM - Al-Hawanim4:00 PM - Al-HawanimAl-Hawanim is a dynamic trio of women playing the music of the Middle East and North Africa. The group includes Anne Rasmussen playing `ud, an 11-stringed Arab lute, Anne Elise Thomas on qanun, a 78-stringed Arab zither, and Nicole LeCorgne on percussion. Their high-energy performance includes songs, instrumental and dance pieces, and plenty of opportunity for audience participation.
